Lt. to rt.: Jerry White and Jim Haney are veteran FFC ERT members from
Katrina relief days. Once again they worked side-by-side helping victims of
the California fires.

Victor Lavega, Pasadena FD, and his two sons were part of FFC’s ERT clean-up
crew. They joined a hundred other firefighters who showed up to help a
fellow firefighter. All that remains of this home is cinder block. Zack, the
firefighter/paramedic, had spent the last four years building his family’s
home. He, his wife and three children were due to take occupancy in a few
weeks. Their live-in trailer was also destroyed in the fire. After sifting
through the ashes, one of the few treasures recovered were Zack and his
wife’s wedding rings. They became welded together by the fire!!

FFC ERT members take a picture break from working at another firefighter’s
home. Hopefully, we’ll have more pictures of other team members, who came
from Northern California to be part of the relief effort.

Lt. to rt. Jerry White and Ken Hannibal have represented Firefighters For
Christ in the San Diego area for many years. They were thrilled to see God
bring the Fire Family together to minister to their fellow brothers in the
Fire Service.
