Nepal Training Trip: May 2-12, 2018

This is a last minute notification to form a training team for Nepal. We are pushed for time on this due to a narrow opportunity based upon changing weather conditions, namely, melting snow and ice. John went on a scouting trip late last year and established contact with the local mayor and visited some fire stations. There are eager for us to return and we will be teaching on Auto Extrication, Swift Water Rescue, and Wildland Operations. We anticipate about 75 students and are looking to send 10-15 instructors. Primary Instructors are already in place so no experience is necessary. If you are looking for an opportunity to be part of a team and learn what a training trip is all about, contact Joe Lindaman ASAP at joelindaman@gmail.com  The airfare for this trip is currently about $1,000, and we anticipate we will spend about $400-$500 on food and accommodations.

Hume Lake Spring Volunteer Week: May 14-17, 2018

This is an opportunity for us to help Hume get the camp ready for thousands of kids to come up the hill, experience camp, and hear the gospel. Many will make decisions for Christ. Volunteer Week is a family-friendly trip where spouses and kids can do ministry together. FFC has organized a work party for many years. Contact Greg Gibson at (805) 551-6534 for more info. As our FFC rep and he can tell you about past trips. Contact Alyssa Hawkinson at ahawkinson@hume.org or (559) 305-7692 to register.

Hume New England Fall Volunteer Week: September 23-29, 2018

Located in the beautiful Berkshires in Southwest Massachusetts, Hume New England is the east coast campus of Hume Christian Camps. For the past several years, FFC has sent teams of people to assist this camp in renovations, maintenance, and upgrades. This is also a family-friendly opportunity to serve, and an excellent time of the year to see the Fall colors. What many couples do is work for a week and take a few days before or after to drive and see the countryside. Contact Rod Pyle (Hume New England) at rpyle@att.com or (661) 304-1183 for more info. Let him know you are part of FFC.

Uganda 2018: October 19, 2018 through November 2, 2018

This will be FFC Northern Ireland’s third mission trip to Uganda. They have established a good relationship with Ty Cariad, a home and school for orphans, and have reached out to Uganda Fire Service personnel around this home. This year they plan to reach out to the Mbarara Region firefighters teaching Rescue Straps, First Aid, Swift Water, and possibly Auto Extrication. There is always work to be done around the home, and of course working with the children. Photos from previous trips can be seen at http://www.firefightersforchrist.co.uk/gallery  This is open to firefighters and support staff. This is also a 'family friendly' trip so husbands, wives, and older children have the opportunity to go on mission together as a family. Total cost for those flying out of Northern Ireland is about 1200-1300 pounds (about $1600-$1800 US) Cost flying from other locations will vary. Contact Paddy Quinn at fullbackmaster@hotmail.com He would like to hear from your by March 21, 2018.

Training Trip to Acapulco: Considering Fall, but dates undetermined

A scouting team was sent to Acapulco last year with the intentions of sending a training team there. It has been on our heart to go, but no date has yet been set. If God is calling you to Acapulco contact Dan Rodriguez at dan.rodriguez.ffc@gmail.com to get on the list of potential team members.

Training Trip to the Philippines: January/February 2019

This will be the fourth Training Team sent to the Philippines. We have an excellent relationship with the Bureau of Fire Protection and a very active FFC chapter who have administered all our trips. The door is wide open for ministry and all of these trips have been hugely successful. If you would like to be part of the next team to the Philippines, contact Pat Stilson at midslope@icloud.com

Training Team to Honduras: Possibly Spring of 2019

FDNY/FFC Jerry Sillcocks went on a recent mission trip with his daughter to Honduras and made contact with the Fire Chief of Honduras. We now have an open door to provide training and ministry there. If you are interested in being part of this team, contact Dan Rodriguez at  dan.rodriguez.ffc@gmail.com
