President's Letter - Spring 2026

President's Letter – Spring 2026

"For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."

Song of Solomon 2:11–12 (ESV)

As we enter this spring season, we are reminded that God is a God of renewal. Just as winter gives way to new life, Firefighters For Christ International is experiencing a season of growth, fresh vision, and spiritual awakening.

This new season began in January with our ninth annual training mission to the Philippines. During this outreach, approximately 135 firefighters accepted the Lord—an incredible testimony to God's faithfulness and the power of simply being available to serve.

Durning the month of March, we gathered for our International Meeting at Hume Lake, where Britt Sipe challenged us with a message on the "domino effect"—reminding us that our lives influence others in ways we may never fully see, just as we have been shaped by those who have gone before us.

Immediately following, we attended  the First Responders Retreat at the same location. Jim Stitzinger delivered a powerful message encouraging us not to pray for personal safety, but for boldness in proclaiming the Gospel. Drawing from Hebrews 13:5–6, we were reminded that the Lord is our helper, and because He is with us, we need not fear.

Looking ahead, we are excited about several upcoming opportunities to strengthen marriages within our ministry:

May 2 – FFC Marriage Conference | Huntington Beach, California

May 23 – FFC Marriage Conference | Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

We encourage you to register through the FFC App or our website.

In April, Firefighters For Christ will once again be present at FDIC International in Indianapolis, Indiana—the largest fire and rescue training event in North America. We will have a ministry table, resources available, and most importantly, opportunities to share the Gospel with firefighters from around the world.

For more information, please contact Hannah Norton at: [email protected].

Dates: April 20–25

We are also preparing for an upcoming international mission opportunity. The Lord is calling a team to serve in San Salvador, El Salvador, where we will provide both practical training and spiritual encouragement to police, fire, and military first responders. Training topics will include auto extrication, swift water and rope rescue, disaster response, HAZMAT, basic firefighting, CPR, and more.

Dates: September 25 – October 3, 2026

Approximate Cost: $1,300 (includes flight from LAX, lodging, and meals)

We are currently forming an interest list and ask that you respond by April 10.

If you feel led to participate or would like more information, please contact Aaron Segaar at [email protected].

Finally, we are encouraged by the continued growth of Firefighters For Christ globally. According to Simon Hewitt, leader of FFC Europe (Virtual), we now have participation from Brazil, England, Scotland, Italy (Sicily), South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Romania, Moldova, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

God is clearly on the move—and we are simply striving to keep up with what He is doing.

It is a privilege to serve alongside each of you in this mission. Thank you for your continued faithfulness, prayers, and commitment to sharing the hope of Christ within the fire service.

In His service,

Joe Lindaman
President, Firefighters For Christ International
