What We Believe
OUR COMPASS
Core Values
Firefighters For Christ mission goal is to encourage firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Everything we think, say, or do must be filtered through this foundational purpose. This is our compass (GPS), which directs all Firefighters For Christ's ministries.
Vision
Reach firefighters worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19–20)
Focus
To know and obey Jesus Christ. (John 17:3; Philippians 3:10)
Blueprint
God’s Word is our ministry blueprint. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
Pattern of a Servant
Our ministry is patterned after Jesus, who came as a servant. (Philippians 2:5–11)
Trust
Our trust is in the LORD to direct, guide, and provide. (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Purity
Individual purity is critical to effective ministry. (2 Peter 3:14; Ephesians 4:17–5:21)
Prayer & Fruit
A close relationship with Jesus fuels prayer and produces lasting fruit. (John 15:1–17; James 5:16b)
Strategy and tactics may change, but these values are woven into the fabric of every firefighter’s life in this ministry.
Doctrinal Statement
We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing and that these Scriptures are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe and receive Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
We believe in the blessed hope - the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

Guiding Policies
We Are Not
- A political organization or a pressure group to make demands on those in authority over us. Instead we follow I Timothy 2:1-8.
- An organization that exerts pressure to bring about social change. Instead we present Christ. (Romans 1:16) We believe it is the Holy Spirit who changes hearts and brings conviction of sin.
- An organization that is run by a majority of its members. Instead we follow Acts 6:3-7.
We evaluate our meetings, activities, projects, etc. by asking this question: "Are we encouraging firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ?"
We Are
A non-profit faith-based ministry. Financial support is provided as God moves on the hearts of His people to support the ministry. We do not take offerings at our events or participate in fund-raising campaigns. We do accept financial donations and will provide the information and means for people wishing to partner in the ministry through financial and other giving. We practice the principal, "Where God guides, He provides." We pray for God’s provision to provide for every facet of FFC’s ministries, no matter how large or small.
Focus and Goals
Our Focus — To know Christ!
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
"Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you. the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
John 17:1-3
Our Goal — Encourage firefighters to live for Jesus Christ!
Firefighters For Christ’s ministry is built on Hebrews 10:24–25:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
We meet together regularly to: Spur one another on toward love and good deeds and to encourage one another more and more to live our lives for Jesus Christ.
HOW WE GROW TOGETHER
