Chapter History
Firefighters for Christ South East Louisiana (renamed 1st August 2020) Officially started November 4,2011. We began to put the idea together in July 2011, We started because 3 of us had a heart for serving God and wanted to encourage other fire fighters to live for God. Our original 3 were Phillip Notariano President, Dennis Pitts VP, Tony Strahan Sec/Treasure. We have been clicking every since.
Leadership ship has changed over the years with my self (Dennis Pitts Jr) remaining a constant. Even with a few years of no meetings and only one in leadership we still tried to maintain our face book page to encourage other firefighters to live for Jesus. I feel like God was preparing us for a new push in 2020 and here we are at this moment in time.
August 1, 2020 we changed the name from a Firefighters for Christ of South East Louisiana to Firefighters for Christ Northshore region. We added full leadership and have grown in members. So excited for this change and re-launch.
Our New leadership consist of Dennis Pitts Jr (DJ) Chapter President, Wayne Ratliff Chapter VP, Aaron Thomas Chapter Secretary, Caleb Kimble Chapter Treasure. We will add one more into leadership as Chapter Chaplain.
Some of the things to look forward to are, our morning focus of Church services M-S replays from a church from the following Sunday at 0700 CST each morning, a devotion & Prayer each evening M-S at 1900 CST. And possibly a Saturday Special at 1000 CST once a month.
