Firefighters For Christ Chaplaincy Program

John White, the founder and president of Firefighters For Christ (FFC), served as the organization’s first chaplain. He was always available to any firefighter, anywhere in the world, offering help and spiritual support. Whether stopping by a firehouse for coffee and conversation, visiting firefighters in the hospital, or traveling across the country to pray with and comfort first responders after 9/11, John exemplified the heart of what the FFC Chaplain program is today.

The FFC Chaplaincy program consists of a volunteer, Christian team of trained chaplains who offer emotional and spiritual guidance, encouragement, and support to those in the fire service. Our primary role is to be present, caring, and available. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we walk alongside individuals facing life’s challenges, motivated by His love and grace, which we aim to extend to everyone we meet.

Our Chaplain Services include, but are not limited to:
•Offering invocations, benedictions, and special presentations at official ceremonies.
•Visiting sick or injured firefighters and their families.
•Providing support during bereavement.
•Assisting with peer support functions.
•Helping fire departments upon request.
•Providing a presence at incidents and disasters, as needed.
•Supporting FFC chapters and attending local meetings.
•Participating in FFC training and Emergency Response Team (ERT) trips when possible.
•Building relationships with other chaplain organizations.
•Offering chaplain care for first responders’ treatment centers and similar services.
•Responding to FFC requests to provide spiritual support.

We recognize that many fire departments may not have their own chaplain programs, and we aim to be available to those departments and their personnel whenever needed. Whether through prayer, guidance, or simply being present, we seek to serve wherever the Lord opens doors for us to minister.
