Many countries where FFC Training Teams teach Auto Extrication cannot afford expensive hydraulic tools currently available in the fire service. Maintenance of these hydraulic tools is also a challenge because replacement parts are often difficult to acquire. FFC utilizes pre-hydraulic techniques using a High-Lift Jack in conjunction with a battery-powered reciprocating saw to accomplish victim extrication. These two tools working together can accomplish nearly the same results as a hydraulic tool, and maintenance is significantly easier. The results have been fantastic!
