Firefighters For Christ in Orange County California

Chapter History

The Orange County Chapter of FFC in the northern part of the county started several years after the original Chapter.  The First Chapters attendance started dropping off and regular meetings where no longer being held.  There were several firefighters interested in giving the Chapter a new start In Northern Orange County.

Jan 2018 - First meeting.
With the help of Firehouse Church and Pastor Fernando, a past Los Angeles City Firefighter, we have a fantastic place to hold our gatherings every month. The Chapter has also helped host Firefighters For Christ Marriage conference the last three years.

Orange County California’s chapters’ core values are important to develop and embrace because the system and structure Firefighters For Christ uses are built on them.  They define who we are as an organization and what the main focus of that organization should be.  Firefighters for Christ is no different.  The majority of our energy and resources should reflect these core values: “Encourage Firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ.”  In order to fulfill this mandate by God, firefighters for Christ has developed chapters internationally.  These chapters are our answer to the challenge to connect and encourage one another and do our part in answering the call to be witness to the unchurched.
Mark 16:15 (NIV) HE said to them ”Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
We have all been commissioned by God to “go.”  Each of us must do our part to reach people within the sphere of our influence with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.  Firefighters have a particular harvest field in which to minister to – other firefighters. The call to reach people with the gospel applies to all believers, not only pastors.  It is called EXOUSIA – authority, or the power of influence.
All though we are not all scientist, we’ve been told that in physics, the second law of thermodynamics is known as the law of entropy.  It states that “things that are isolated move towards deterioration.”  Entropy operates in the spiritual realm as well.  Whatever is cut off tends to deteriorate.  There is really no life without relationships.  GOD has made us in such a way that if we don’t have relationship with HIM and other people, we cannot function properly.  The truth is, we need each other and are more affective together.  “Coming together is only a beginning; keeping together is progress; but working together is success!”
Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) - As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
“FELLOWSHIP”
Finally The Orange County Chapter is like all chapters of Firefighters for Christ Internationally; we fellowship together to connect, encourage and sharpen the message of Jesus Christ.   With the desire to bring others to Jesus Christ.
God bless

Firefighters For Christ relocated to the City of Brea in January of 2018 and our first meeting was held at 9am the last Thursday of that month.  The new Chapter had a strong start with 15 attendees.  Attendance has stayed strong with speaker’s Like John White, and Dan Rodriguez and guest speakers Like Firefighter Michael Kordich a shooting victim survivor of the Harvest concert in Las Vegas in 2017.

We believe one of the reason we have stayed strong is keeping to the vision that John White set forth in his mission statement.  Reaching firefighters worldwide with the gospel of Jesus Christ, with a focus to know Christ and to encourage Firefighters to live their life’s for Jesus Christ.  We also have made every attempt to never cancel the end of the month meetings. In the last two years only one meeting has been cancelled until the pandemic restrictions forced us to close the public meetings. The Orange County Chapter figured out a way to praise the Lord with virtual meetings on Zoom and for the last several months this is how we fellowship.  In person monthly meetings have resumed and the added virtual meetings will continue as well.
Jan 2020 - meeting
If you wish to join the zoom Meetings:  Go to the form below and leave your name, phone number and email contact information and we will sent you the information you need to attend the virtual meetings.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
